About us
20 years of expertise. One focused mission.
Great Lakes AR Consulting was founded to give businesses of every size access to the kind of accounts receivable expertise that was once reserved for large corporations with full finance departments.
Why we started
After two decades working in accounting and finance — across industries, company sizes, and economic cycles — one pattern kept repeating: businesses were losing significant cash not because of bad products or weak sales, but because their AR processes couldn't keep up.
Invoices went out late. Follow-up was inconsistent. Collections felt awkward, so it got avoided. Aging reports sat unread. The result was always the same: cash that should have been in the bank was sitting in someone else's account instead.
Great Lakes AR Consulting exists to fix that. We bring graduate-level accounting expertise and real-world finance experience directly to your AR operation — with practical recommendations you can actually implement.
How we approach every engagement
Four principles that guide every client relationship and every recommendation we make.
Practical over theoretical
We don't deliver reports that collect dust. Every recommendation is designed to be implemented by your actual team, with your actual resources.
Honest assessment
We tell you what we find — including the uncomfortable parts. You can't fix a problem you haven't accurately diagnosed.
Results you can measure
DSO, aging buckets, collection rates — we establish baselines and track improvement so you can see exactly what changed and by how much.
Long-term capability
Our goal isn't to make you dependent on us. We build your team's skills and document your processes so the improvements outlast the engagement.
